Project Knapsack fosters cross-cultural communication through its international pen pal exchange between students in the United States and students in developing nations, specifically Africa.
In 2009, over 600 public and private school students exchanged letters with students from Zambia, Soweto, and most recently, El Salvador.
We are pleased to announce and excited about our partnership with the Molalatladi Primary School in Soweto, South Africa. The students at Molalatladi will each receive their very own personal backpacks filled
with pencils, pens, erasers, paper, folders, crayons, markers, pocket dictionaries and other essential learning tools.
